Sally is a highly skilled creative professional with over 20 years of experience in creating campaigns for such clients as Hewitt Associates, Penwell Publishing, The Lincoln Institute and Engage, a company of CMGI. An award winning designer, she is the former principal of Mosaic Design, Inc., specializing in collateral, corporate identity, web design, catalogs and annual reports.
McCarthy began her career as a painter and received her Bachelor of Arts in Painting and Art History from the Massachusetts College of Art. She later received her Masters in Painting from the University of Massachusetts and went on to teach fine arts and graphic design at the University of Massachusetts, the Decordova Museum and Wheaton College. As a painter, Sally also brings a strong illustrative element to the Shields’ creative team and continues to exhibit widely in the Boston area and in New York’s tri-city area.
